Biceps - Importance and Functions |
Brad Belanger
Most bodybuilders love training biceps. There are
several reasons for this. First of all, well developed arms are something that
everyone notices. You don't have to be a bodybuilding enthusiast to
appreciate large biceps. This is often why young bodybuilders start out
just training their arms while ignoring other, equally important, muscle
groups. Second, many inside and outside the
bodybuilding community critique the arms with extra scrutiny.
Large arms represent a high level of muscularity more so then almost any
other muscle group and as a result they are a favorite to train. Of course each muscle group is scrutinized at the competitive level.
Thirdly some of the greatest bodybuilders of all time have had
magnificent arms and now bodybuilders of today try to emulate them. Arnold Schwarzenegger had massive biceps while Bill
Pearl had equally impressive triceps.
This is a starting guide
to bicep exercises. Building biceps is fun and rewarding. We hope you
will explore all of the bicep exercises outlined in the left navigation
bar. Now go and build you biceps to their ultimate genetic potential. |
